ICNA CSJ uniquely applies Islamic perspectives to societal problems. We believe Islam provides comprehensive guidelines that lead to happiness and peace. Our solutions and approaches are aligned with Islamic principles while addressing universal issues of justice and human dignity.
While many Muslim organizations focus specifically on the civil rights of Muslims, CSJ addresses broader social justice issues affecting all communities. This includes poverty, racism, raising the minimum wage, climate change, economic inequality, and other systemic issues that impact society as a whole.
Our organization prioritizes structural racism, indigenous rights, unjust immigration policies, Islamophobia, inequality/hunger/poverty, and declining family institutions. We advocate for the rights of the poor and oppressed across all these interconnected areas.
We currently have representatives in Chicago, Dallas, and Orange County, California. We are actively working to establish statewide teams through ICNA chapters across the country to expand our reach and impact.
