About Afia Yunus
Mrs. Yunus is the Principal Attorney and Owner at Yunus Law, with an office in Philadelphia and Chicago. Her practice focuses exclusively on U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law. She represents clients from all over the country and abroad in employment based immigration, family based immigration, and also in removal defense before the U.S. Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Mrs. Yunus received her B.A. degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago with Magna Cum Laude distinction. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2010 with a Certificate in Public Interest Law. At Chicago-Kent, she was awarded the CALI award and the Dean’s Certificate of Service Award.
Mrs. Yunus also serves on the Board of Directors at GCLEA, a prominent mosque in Cherry Hill and the Recruitment and Community Outreach Advisory Board for Camden County College.
