Please join ICNA CSJ and other organizations in requesting Obama to release Imam Jamil Al-Amin. If you don’t know his story, then please watch this lecture by our Chairman Imam Khalid Griggs.

Because of an incurable cancer and the failure of the Bureau of Prisons to provide proper treatment, Imam Al-Amin, who is now 73, will be subject to an execution by medical neglect unless he receives a Medical Pardon—and it’s critical that President Obama issue it before he leaves office.

There is overwhelming proof of Imam Al-Amin’s innocence, including contradictory physical evidence and retractions by key witnesses. Still, he has suffered imprisonment for over 16 years—12 of which in were solitary confinement for no reason. Seven of those years were in the “supermax” Federal Prison in Florence, Colorado, where Imam Al-Amin had no human contact, no fresh air, and no sunlight, despite the fact that he was never convicted on federal charges.

ICNA CSJ would like to seek your support in wholeheartedly signing the petition prepared by Imam Jamil Action Network and MPOWER Change:
