In light of the recent events in Minneapolis, where an unarmed African American, George Floyd, was killed by a police officer, we look at the structured racism that is apparent in America today.

The death of George Floyd proves that systemic structured racism and oppression of African Americans is still prevalent in America today. One of the reasons we still hear of news like this is because of the lack of accountability and responsibility that police have in America for such actions. The lack of justice in these police brutality killings and murder cases permit more and more to occur.
