2016

• Partnered up with Young Leaders Institute and sponsored 25 young Muslims in the DMV area to go to Capitol Hill and advocate elected officials for gun reform laws. It was a mixture of middle school, high school, and college students
• Started a petition for gun reform to be delivered to he United States House of Representatives and The United States Senate. We collected over a thousand signatures
• Helped with coordinating and assisting in the 1st International Conference of Muslim Councils in the West hosted by U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations
• Held a voter registration drive at the ICNA VA Mosque in Alexandria, VA before and after Friday prayers as part of the One America Campaign by USCMO
• Participated and coordinated the annual Muslim Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill

2015

• Participated in Conf. Call w/ Michelle Obama on Affordable Care Act: Faith Weekend of Action
• Co-Sponsored Youth Awareness Night at Dar Taqwa to speak about the Chapel Hill Shootings in NC
• Coordinated and Participated in the anual Muslim Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill
• Hosted research proposal meeting and discussion for CIPP to study the contribution of the Islamic tools in eradicating extreme poverty, achieving sustainable development and establishing a just society
• Participated in the Climate Action Workshop hosted by Congressman John Delaney in MD
