The Muslim Prisoner Support Project was launched in 2017 when local prisons reached out requesting assistance in locating resources for Muslim inmates. What started as a small effort to raise funds for religious materials has grown into a comprehensive support program.
Religion is not just a grounding experience that tethers humans to their societies, but also a constitutional right that must be guaranteed even under the harsh extremes of incarceration.
