Naeem Baig, Executive Director of ICNA Council for Social Justice and the current President of Islamic Circle of North America, discusses in this short video why the Muslim community must continue their dialogue with the Catholic Church through interfaith.
It is not just about boring discussions, he points out, but building relationships. The Catholics in this country were also persecuted at one point as the Muslims are today through fear mongering and false propaganda. They understand the struggle of the Muslim community due to similar shared experiences.
The purpose of the dialogue is to learn from each other in a respectful and dignified manner.
