Ilhan Omar

Congresswoman

Ilhan Omar is the first Muslim Congresswoman. In 2016, she was elected a Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. She is the Director of Policy and Initiatives of the Women Organizing Women Network. She is the Assistant Minority Leader, with assignments to three house committees; Civic Law & Data Practices Policy, Higher Education & Career Readiness Policy and Finance, and State Government Finance.
