ICNA Justice Hotline

Press Release | Resource Guide | Volunteer

Welcome to ICNA Justice Hotline! The goal of this hotline is to provide a safe haven for reporting acts of hate, school bullying and discrimination. The focus is on advice and prevention while the severe cases will be referred to law enforcement. The hotline can also guide community members on coalition building, interfaith alliances and civic engagement at local levels. The volunteer call respondents will try their best to provide assistance on how the victim can secure his/her civil rights, obtain access to legal services, and other forms of protective assistance.

ICNA CSJ is working with a team of volunteer attorneys, civil rights activists, community leaders, professional counselors and ICNA volunteers, who have more than 15 years of experience in managing and supporting hotlines. Anyone interested in joining the team can sign up here.

How it works:

Below is a brief overview of how the hotline works.

Step 1: The caller will be connected with a volunteer who will document the caller’s incident and basic contact information.

Step 2: If the volunteer can directly provide assistance, then he/she will do so.

Step 3: If the situation requires assistance from a specialist, then the volunteer will reach out to a specialist in the field on behalf of the caller to obtain more information on how the victim can fight back. Our goal is to be able to get back to the caller within 24 hours.

You may also use the form below if you prefer to communicate via e-mail. We will get back to you within 24 hours insha’Allah.
