The Islamic Circle of North America expresses its strongest condemnation of the horrific shooting that took place last night in Las Vegas, Nevada. The indiscriminate attack killed 58 and injured 515 according to the latest media reports.

“Our prayers and sympathies are with the victims of this cowardly attack” said Javaid Siddiqi, President, ICNA.

We are alarmed at the rise of cases of domestic terrorism and gun violence in our country. There should be no place in our society for indiscriminate violence of this magnitude. There have been 213 mass shootings this year according to Gun Violence Archive, causing the deaths of many innocent men, women and children across the country.

ICNA urges law makers to address the rising tide of this senseless gun violence with common sense gun laws.

ICNA also urges residents in the area to respond to the appeal for blood donation by the local health officials. Please visit Labor Health & Welfare Clinic at 7135 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas.

  1. Dear @icna board members, I noticed you invited Ibrahim Kalin, who publicly announced that his team kidnapped 100+ dissidents from overseas. HR orgs reported that kidnapped people severely tortured.
If you are inviting Kalin, you should invite MBS too. They can do hands on training on how to kidnap, torture and dismember dissidents. ICNA can give out Kidnapping, Torturing, Dismembering Certificates at the end of the session.
If you have not lost your mind. Don’t give a platform to top human rights violators at your convention.
Otherwise you will be undermining your mission.
Nobody will believe your human rights activism.
I hope you will disinvite him and publicly apologize to the 100+K victims including 17000 hijabi sisters and 744 babies. Muslims suffered under this regime than far more than previous secular including military administration.
    Sincerely,

    1. Thanks for the comment. We’re sorry but we have no knowledge of this. We are a small sub-section of ICNA with our own team and activities. Please reach out directly to the convention team or event team that is responsible for the event. jzk.
